Carolyn was born on February 28, 1948 in Blytheville, AR to Gerald T. and Jessie B. Lambert. Carolyn went home to be with her Lord July 8, 2024 in a very quiet and peaceful manner. She passed from this life as elegantly as she lived her life. Her younger years were spent in the Russellville, AR area. Carolyn and brother Ron later moved with their parents to the Oklahoma City area. She graduated in 1966 from U.S. Grant High School. After high school she attended the University of Oklahoma and the University of Central Oklahoma. In October 1970 she married the love of her life Larry Byrum. The resided in Abilene, TX for about 2 years and then returned to Oklahoma City where they resided until they moved to Tuttle, OK. They returned back to southwest Oklahoma City in 1995 and remained here until the present time. Carolyn and Larry had 2 children - Lorrie (1976) and Christopher (1981). She spent many happy years teaching, working and loving her kids. Carolyn was a very loving, gentle, caring and giving lady. She not only gave her time but she gave of herself and her love. Carolyn worked for the State of Oklahoma in CompSource as an accountant. She retired in 2006 after a long and fruitful career. After her retirement she had the opportunity to travel to many different and unique places and always enjoyed her time out. Carolyn was a very active and faithful member of Snow Hill Baptist Church. She attended very faithfully until her illness prevented her attendance. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ with her whole heart and being. Carolyn enjoyed working with the church's Home Bound Program as much as she enjoyed the nursery and helping the Treasurer. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Lorrie Byrum of Oklahoma City; son, Chris and wife Melody of Moore; granddaughter, Mikayla Bunnell of Norman; grandson, Larry Byrum of Moore; brother, Ron and wife Ann of Houston, TX; nephew, Bart and wife Jennifer of Houston, TX; sister-in-law, Linda Seright of Moore; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Lambert in 1993 and her mother, Jessie Lambert in 2022.

All of us that knew and loved her were saddened by her passing but acknowledge that she is now with her Lord and loved ones. She will no longer experience pain, sickness, sadness, discomforts or sad goodbyes. She is in perfect peace and happiness in her eternal home.

The family would like to express their most heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers that have so graciously served and card for Carolyn - especially those from EnHabit Home Health and Hospice.

Also we appreciate Snow Hill Baptist Church members that have so graciously given of their time and energy in service to our family.
