Linda Clarkston Obituary

Linda Lee (Fox) Clarkston, 74 passed away on July 6, 2024 at her home in Gage, Oklahoma.

Linda was born on September 19, 1949 in Ogden Utah to Alice and Keith Fox. She grew up in Ogden and attended Ogden schools where she graduated in 1967. She attended Weber State College and received her dental hygienist certificate. She then discovered real estate and began an exciting career. Through the real estate business she met the love of her life Roy A Clarkston.

With her marriage to Roy, she became a bonus mom to Todd Clarkston and Kelly (Clarkston) Witchey. Linda was an excellent role model and influence for Todd and Kelly. Each of the grandchildren have loved their “yia-yia”. And she loved them immensely.

During their marriage, Roy’s occupation saw them move from Utah to Idaho, New Mexico, Texas and back to Utah. Linda started a career in retail, her artistic nature and marketing skills served her well during this time and she began her rise through the ranks to become manager of several department stores within the retail realm. She and Roy also discovered and fell in love with the Greek Orthodox church.

They retired in Ogden, Utah and took care of Alice during her last years. Roy and Linda were faithful active members of Transfiguration Orthodox Church in Ogden. After Roy’s passing Linda continued her active participation with the church. A medical diagnosis in 2019, created the opportunity for Linda to move to Oklahoma with Kelly and family. During this time she found a new church family to be active in. She continued her love of arts, painting, and spiritual reading while in Oklahoma.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband Roy; parents, Keith and Alice Fox; parents in law, A.B. and Marjorie Clarkston; son-in-law William L Witchey; She is survived by daughter Kelly (Witchey) and granddaughter Brianna (Witchey) Chesney of Oklahoma; son Todd Clarkston and grandchildren Kris and Hope Clarkston of Denver, Colorado and a host of dearly loved friends.
