Frank DeBorde Obituary

Mr. William Franklin "Frank" DeBorde, 98 of Mt. Vernon, passed from this life on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at the East Kentucky Veteran Center in Hazard. He was born at Level Green in Rockcastle County, KY on April 29, 1926 the son of Jack and Sallie Hurst DeBorde. He was a retired law enforcement officer for the City of Mt. Vernon and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was also a former Rockcastle County Jailer, Deputy Sherriff, and Magistrate, as well as a former Mason and Shriner.


He is survived by his son, Bobby DeBorde of Mt. Vernon; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Livesay DeBorde; and his daughter, Pam DeBorde.


Funeral services for Mr. DeBorde will be conducted Friday, July 12 at 1:00 PM at the Dowell & Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow in the Friendship Cemetery.
