John Kelty Obituary

John “Jack” Kelty (85) of Bartlett died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, July 6, 2024.

He was born on November 22, 1938, in Jersey City, NJ. Jack was an Army Veteran, loved to golf, was a huge sports fan and enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and Sudoku.  He was also known for occasionally placing a bet on a ball game. Jack had a very successful business career that spanned 49 years with the same company and retired as a Vice President. What Jack loved most in life was spending time with his family.

He was a beloved husband of 61 years to Antoinette; a loving father to Bill (Michelle) Kelty, Irene (Jack) Allen, Patricia (George) Prodanovich, John (Sarah) Kelty and Jennifer (Eddie) Paladino; and a cherished Papa to Connor, Jacqueline (Carter), Jacob (April), Sam, Riley, Abigail, Chase, Ben, Olivia and the late Cameron; dear son of the late William and Amelia Kelty; kind brother of the late Barbara, Elaine and Billy and fond Uncle to many.

Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. A funeral mass will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at St Peter Damian Catholic Church 131 Crest Ave, Bartlett. Following Mass, cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
