Bobby Joe Cramer Obituary

Bobby Joe Cramer, 91, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024.  The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Hart’s at the Cupola.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in the Chapel of Hart’s at the Cupola. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.

Son of the late Robert Toombs Cramer and Mamie Josephine Cheek Cramer, Bobby was born in Monroe, Georgia on April 12, 1933.  He was a pillar of our community and dedicated professional in the automotive industry, working 60 plus years.  He started his career in downtown Macon, working at Bob Lee Volkswagen, Northside Mazda, and opened Cramer Wiggins Lincoln Mercury -Ford in Warner Robins. Recently, he also worked as operations at Five Star Mazda in Macon for the last 40 years.

His passion for his work was only surpassed by the love for his family.  He married the love of his life, Suzanne, on October 2, 1956. He and Suzanne were married just shy of 68 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He always put his loved ones first, creating a legacy of love for generations to come.

Bobby was not just a skilled professional, but a compassionate soul that touched the lives of all who knew him.  He served on the board of the Macon Rescue mission for 45 plus years. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to helping others made him a beloved figure in our community.   He was a member of the Shriners, Lions, American Legion, Moose Clubs, and the Macon Touchdown club. He was also inducted into the Macon Sports Hall of Fame.

Bobby will be lovingly remembered by daughters, Kerry C. (Roy) Hall and Kelly C. (Greg) Pugh of St. Petersburg; four grandchildren, Heather Dean of Warner Robins and McKenzie, Keaton and Kameron Pugh of St. Petersburg; two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hayden Dean of Warner Robins and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne Greene Cramer.
