Apolonia Siembida Obituary

Apolonia Siembida, 86, of Marcy, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at MVHS Rehabilitation and Nursing.


Born on December 9, 1937, in Poland, she was the daughter of Stanislaw and Stefania (Wojewoda) Jaskiewicz.


On June 27, 1959, Apolonia married Andrzej B. Siembida in Poland, a union of 59 years before his death on March 27, 2019.


She was a caregiver with the DDSO prior to retiring.


Surviving are her two sons, Robert (Jeannine) Siembida and Jack (Tina) Siembida; four grandchildren, Michelle Marie, Michael Andrew, David (Maggie) and Adam Siembida; and brother, Tadeusz Jaskiewicz.


Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. from Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The family will receive guests following the Mass. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum.


In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Apolonia’s name may be made to MVHS Rehab. and Nursing Center Activities Fund, 1600 Champlin Ave., Utica, NY 13502, in care of Betsy Peckham, SW.


Arrangements are under the direction of McGrath, Myslinski, Kowalczyk & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica.
