Philomena L. Giannetti, 91, of Hopewell Township, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford, surrounded by her family.

Born January 12, 1933, in Aliquippa, a daughter of the late Antonio and Lousia (Casoli) Palazzi, she was a member of Mary, Queen of Saints Parish, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

Philomena was and excellent cook and baker and was part owner of the former Pop’s Pizza in Aliquippa, where she was lovingly called Nonna by her patrons. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She leaves a legacy of love and laughter for all to treasure.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Benny Giannetti; her siblings, Elmer, Otto, Bill, Ricky, Anthony, Florence, Virginia, Daisy, Mary, and Helen.

She will be deeply missed by her three daughters, Karen (Frank) Eichler, Debi (Doug) Edgell, and Lisa Yuhasz; nine grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Mark Eichler, Christopher Eichler, Daniel Eichler, Kelly Swaoger, Ryan (Jennifer) Swaoger, Nick (Mandy) Burzese, Andrea Burzese, Rachel Yuhasz (Anthony), and Hanna Yuhasz; many great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Katie Palazzi; special niece, Leslie Dunahey; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Hopewell Township, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM.

Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Hopewell Township.

Arrangements by TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, PA 15001.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
