Margaret A. "Peg" Davidson Obituary

Margaret A. “Peg” Davidson, 90, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 6, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving family at home. Born on July 19, 1933, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Paul Davis and Susan Rebecca Felmlee, and stepfather Gilbert “Tubby” Sager.

Peg graduated from the Bellefonte Area School in 1951. She married the love of her life and best friend, Robert E. “Wink” Davidson on November 2, 1951. Wink passed away on February 16, 2005. She was an active member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Bellefonte. Her church life and church family were very important to her. She attended Mass regularly until her health made it impossible. She worked as a teacher’s aide at Bellefonte Elementary School.

Peg was an avid Penn State Football Fan. She NEVER missed a TV game, and the neighbors would say they could hear her cheering on the team. Win or lose, she loved them.

Peg is survived by her two loving sons Gary L. Davidson (Sherry Ann) of State College and Jeffrey T. Davidson of Bellefonte, as well as her grandson, Hunter RA Davidson (Makenzie) of St. Petersburg, FL, and her sister, Jean Reigh, of Milesburg. Extended family Kathy Murray, Gwendolyn Hull and families, several nieces, and nephews, along with Michelle Davidson, who all held a special place in Peg’s heart.

Along with her parents and husband, Peg was preceded in death by her son, Steven J. Davidson; brother Thomas Davis; sisters: Janet McClellan, Shirley Malone, and Joyce Snook.

The family extends their thanks and gratitude to Stephanie, Terry, Jolene and the staff of Advantage Hospice for their compassion and care.

All services for Peg will be private. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Bellefonte.
