Raymond "Ray" Mark Garrity Obituary

Raymond “Ray” Mark Garrity, 59, passed away at Southern NH Medical Center on July 6, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.  He was the beloved fiancé of Amy Dunn of Nashua.

Ray was born in Nashua, NH on September 6, 1964, and was the son of the late Melton and Alene (Harris) Garrity.  He attended Nashua High School and graduated with the class of 1983.

Ray proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.

For 30 years, he worked on printed circuits for Amphenol.

In his free time, he enjoyed mountain biking, playing darts, boxing, and watching wrestling. Ray was an avid sports fan with great loyalty to his Boston teams; especially favoring the Boston Bruins and the Patriots. One of his fondest memories was attending his first Patriots game with his son.  He easily made friends everywhere he went.  You could always find him enjoying a good, cold beer at Penuche’s or the Pine Street Eatery, always the jokester and sharing that infectious smile of his.  Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends. There are many fond memories of Ray attending his son, Damian’s football games and Summer’s field hockey games never forgetting to bring her a Slim Jim and Gatorade.  He never missed out on an opportunity to support his children.

In addition to his fiancée, Amy, he is survived by his two children, Damian Garrity and his significant other Abbey Burke of Merrimack and Summer Garrity and her significant other Lucas Locke of Manchester; two siblings, Scott Garrity and his wife Carol of Greenville, NH and Tracy Garrity of Sutton, MA; his former wife, Pam Garrity of Exeter; his nieces and nephews, Joshua, Amber, Jeffrey, and Shannen; In-laws, Doug and Julie Harrison and family of Nashua; best friend, Rey Paradis “My Buddy” and his wife Terri of Nashua and many Marine friends—SEMPER FI.

In addition to his parents, Ray was predeceased by his sister, Sandra Garrity.

Relatives and friends are invited to Ray’s visitation on THURSDAY, July 11th from 4-7PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ray’s name to Operation Delta Dog, https://operationdeltadog.org/.
