Sharon Hanley Pinsker Obituary

Sharon Hanley Pinsker, 72, of Jersey City, NJ; Sunrise, FL; Bennington, VT; Rockaway, NJ and finally Fairfax, VA, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2024 after a long illness, surrounded by her family.

Sharon was born on August 18, 1951 to Patricia and Eugene Hanley in Jersey City, NJ, and was a proud and wacky big sister to three younger siblings. Always a proud 'Jersey Girl,' Sharon graduated from St. Dominic Academy in Jersey City, NJ in 1969. She graduated from Southern Vermont College later in life and was so proud to do so. Sharon worked at Bennington College in the Department of Financial Aid for many years; she was also a wonderful mother to her lucky twin daughters, with previous spouse Michael Pinsker. She always enjoyed her "Heaven on Earth" time at the Jersey Shore. Long Beach Island and all of us will miss her dearly.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Patricia and Eugene Hanley. She is survived by her two daughters, Erin Bartko and Megan Pinsker; three grandchildren, Declan Pinsker, Alison and Clare Bartko; son-in-law Bill Bartko; Declan's father, Ryan Monroe; siblings / siblings-in-law Carol and Tommy McGlynn, Timmy Hanley, Ellen and Bob Zimmermann; niece and nephews Colleen and Chris McGlynn, Bobby and Danny Zimmermann and many additional family and friends who will always remember her vivacious personality, hearty laugh, adventurous nature, and excitement for life. She will be forever in our hearts and forever missed. A celebration of life will be planned in the near future. Rest in Peace, Mom!
