Bessie Burns Currie (Early)

 May 2, 1927 -  July 6, 2024


Bessie passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Saturday July 6th at Cambridge Country Manor. 


Predeceased by her husband of 63 years John Duncan Currie (2010); Mother of Duncan Currie (2019), Patty Gray, 

Beth (Andy) Avery, and Debbie (Ken) Rapp.  Grandmother of John (Adele) Currie, Jeff (Angela) Currie, Jayne (Matt) Downs, 

Duane (Laura) Avery, Dale (Julie) Avery, Tammy (Dan) Woodcock. Greg (Tasha) Rapp, Jen (Tim) Gordon. 

Great Grandmother to: Alex, Nicole, Tyler, Josh, Kaylee, Ryan, Joe, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Emma and Davis.


The family will be holding a visitation on Wednesday July 10th, 2024 at the McKersie & Early Funeral Home, 114 Main St.E., Milton at 9:00am. Funeral Service to follow at 10:00am in the Funeral Home Chapel. Following the Chapel Service, all are welcome for a Reception in the upper lounge of the Funeral Home ( An elevator is available for those requiring assistance ) 


Interment to take place at St. David's Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Campbellville after the reception.


We would like to thank the staff of Cambridge Country Manor for the amazing care they gave to Bessie. Even though she had dementia in the last years you could tell she felt at home in their care. We can never thank them enough.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cambridge Country Manor, the Milton District Hospital Foundation and/ or 

the Alzheimer Society of Canada. ( Please see donation links below )
