Edgar Anthony Michelin Obituary

Edgar Anthony Michelin went home to be with the Lord on July 6th 2024, surrounded by his family and friends at the age of 78.

Edgar was born in Jamaica on May 31st 1946. Son of Eric Anthony and Mary "Emmie" Michelin. Edgar was adored by his 3 sisters, Elsie, Leleith "Sissy" and Judith.

Edagr breifly lived in New York before moving to Canada in 1969, where he met the love of his life Jean Valerie. The two were married on June 30th 1973. Last month they celebrated 51 yrs of marriage . They had two daughters Trina (Kevin) and Stacey (Marlon). There are no words to describe how much Edgar loved those who called him Papa. Edgar was a proud grandfather to Seirra, Anthony, Asia, Miles and Micah.

Edgar worked for many years as a Machinest for a prominet printing company. He retired at the age of 64 and it wasn't much later he packed up the van and headed straight to Florida Edgar had a lot to say. His daily phrase to his Grandson's were "What time is the game on tonight ?" Edgar spent many evenings cheering on the Blue Jays, Golden State Warriors and Kansas City Chefs. He loved attending parties with his family and friends. Or just sitting on the front porch saying "hello" to all that walked by. Edgar will be remembered for so many things, mostly for his green thumb. He often had the best lawn on the street and he was proud of his hard work.

He touched our lives with his laughter and warm smile. Edgar will be dearly missed by all his family, life long friends and all that knew him.

"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Psalms 73:26

Visitation will be held at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd N, Whitby on Saturday, July 20 at 10:30am up until the time of service at 11:30am in the chapel. Interment will follow.
