George Clinton Lord Obituary

Memorial services for George Clinton Lord, age 77, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 12, 2024, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Bobby Hutto will officiate.


Mr. Lord was born on August 31, 1946, in Toomsboro, Georgia. He served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Navy Seabees. He worked in telecommunications and was the owner of the Bradmark Company. He was a member of Marie Baptist Church, a long-standing member of the Dublin Civitan Club, and served for many years as County Commissioner. He was a faithful servant to his church and to the Dublin Community. He enjoyed raising funds for charities and helping with the Civitan fair each year. He was preceded in death by his parents George Harold Lord and Lillie Mae Roach Hall; his stepfather, John Hall; and his brother Wayne Hall. Mr. Lord passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Emory University Hospital surrounded by family.


He is survived by his wife Sharon Lord; two sons, Brad Lord and Mark Lord (Gina); grandchildren, Courtney Lamb (Victor), Chandler Lord, Camden Lord, and Katelyn Lord; great grandchildren, Liam Lamb and Camille Lamb; brother, William Hall (Billie Jo); two sisters, Belinda Senn and Denise Connell; and several nieces and nephews.


The family would like to invite family and friends to share stories or memories of Clinton at the service.
