Merchant, Janice M. (Girolamo), of Danvers, formerly of East Boston, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 71 years of age.

Loving daughter of the late Fred "Sibby" and Theresa (Vigliotta) Girolamo.

Devoted mother of Renee Merchant and partner John Ciampa of Peabody, and the late Danielle Merchant.

Dear sister of Fred Girolamo and wife Michele of Peabody, and the late Gary Girolamo.

Cherished grandmother of Dylan Linn of Danvers.

Beloved aunt of Gary Girolamo and wife Jennifer, Stephen Girolamo and wife Dr. Shannon Walsh, Michael Merchant and wife Noelle, John Merchant and wife Suzanna. 

Adored great-aunt of Nora Girolamo.

Also survived by her cherished furbaby grandson, Franklin. 

Family and friends will honor Janice's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home ~ North Shore Chapel, 10 Chestnut Street, Peabody, on Wednesday, July 10th from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and again on Thursday morning at 8:30 before leaving in procession to Saint Adelaide's Church, Peabody, for a funeral Mass celebrating her life at 10:00 A.M. Services will conclude with Janice being laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
