Aileen Whitaker Long - age 86 of Lenoir City, passed away July 6, 2024. Aileen was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved cooking, canning, gardening and working in her flowers.


Aileen was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Scott Long; daughter, Cheryl Long Weaver; parents, Alex and Myrtle Boling Whitaker; brothers, Jay, Kenny, Berl, Bill and Clark along with an infant brother and sister; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Ella Sue Long.


Survived by her, son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Sharon Long; daughter, Beth Long Merritt; grandson, Nathan Long all of Lenoir City; nieces: Linda, Susan, Polly and Joyce and beloved pet, Sophie.


Friends may come by the funeral home on Thursday, July 11th to pay their respects. Family and friends will gather 10 a.m. on Friday at Hickory Valley Cemetery for graveside services with Rev.
