Joseph Alan “Joey” Davis, 59, of Sale City passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville.


Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Sale City Baptist Church with interment in Sale City Cemetery. Rev. Tim Bozeman and Rev. Olen Cain will officiate.


Pallbearers will be Greg Eidson, Stacy Davis, Dale Hughes, Tony Hughes, Danny Jones and Tommy Summerlin.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Lost Creek Restaurant and Paul Lane, Sr., Jerry Corbin, Pete Stolmeier.


Born January 2, 1965 in Dougherty County, he was the son of the late Clarence Davis and Margie Ford Davis. Joey was the owner of Lost Creek Steak and Seafood Restaurant in Sale City. He was a member of Sale City Baptist Church.


Survivors include his wife, Betty Eidson Davis of Sale City; two sons Josh Alan Davis (Whitney) of Sale City and Tyler Davis (Hannah) of Baconton; two brothers, Tim Davis (Vanessa) of Baker County and Mickey Davis (Tracy) of Camilla; five grandchildren, Jackson Alan Davis, Jilli Allana Davis, Jhett McDaniel Davis, Carver Grace Davis and Louis James Davis.


Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2024, prior to the service, at Sale City Baptist Church.


Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
