   On June 30, 2024, Jim went to be with his Heavenly Father.

   He was born June 14, 1936 in Custer, SD to Raymond and Nina Gould.

   Jim came out to Idaho in 1951 and worked various jobs until he became a member of Pipeliners Local 798 out of Tulsa, OK. In 1975 and 1976 he worked in Alaska on the Alyeska Pipeline.  He retired from 798 in 1998. His last 20 years were spent at Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 296 out of Boise, ID.

   Jim and Sharon moved to the New Meadows area in 2004 and found a home near the Little Salmon river that Jim called his piece of heaven.

   He is survived by his wife, Sharon of 58 years; daughter Tammie (Clint) Hexum, son Jamie (Jenny) Gould; five grandchildren, Trey Phillips, Jimmie (Presleigh) Phillips, Lane Gould, Lauren Gould, and Cailey Hexum and five great-grandchildren; sister Sharon Henderson and brother Jerry (Arlene) Gould, brother-in-law Clint Warren and sister-in-law Marilyn Gould and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Delbert, Kenneth Dean, Clifford (Pete) and Richard; sisters Donna Jeanne and Pamela and brother-in-law Jim Henderson.

   Jim’s favorite saying was “better than tators gooder than gravy, finger lickin good.”

   He was loved by all who met him and his family meant everything to him.

   At his request there will be no services.
