Nancy Ann (Sidener) Wise, 91 went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 2,2024 at Village Manor in Abilene. She was born February 1, 1933, during a snowstorm in Abilene, to Howard R and Mary Edna "Peggy" Fear- Sidener.

She attended local schools in Abilene, graduating in 1951. Nancy went to Washburn University in Topeka where she was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority and the Dolphin Synchronized Swim Team. She later transferred to Kansas State University, graduating in 1956 with a BA in home economics. She met and married Stephen A. Wise while at K-State.

Nancy was a member of EHU, Job’s Daughters, Eastern Star, Jaycee Janes and Beta Sigma Phi.

Nancy enjoyed life, her family and friends. She had a sense of humor until the end.

Nancy is survived by her children, Teresa A. Weishaar (Dennis) of Abilene, Stephen D. Wise (Laurie) of Wichita, and Christine D. Hale (Gene) of Calhoun, LA, Grandkids: Christopher, Rachel, Michaels, and Michelle, Great-Grandkids: Ryleigh, Hunter, Hayden, Olivia, Bryan and Morgan,Paizley and her dear friend and traveling partner, Mid Hanson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Mary Lou Freeman, her grandson, Jonathan Weishaar and her son-in-law, Terry Mullins. Memorial service will be held at 10:30 Tuesday July 9, 2024, at the Martin-Becker-Carlson funeral home with Pastor Marc Riegel officiating. Memorials may be made to Village Manor or Dickinson County Hospice.
