Evelyn Geraldine Peebles, 89, of McRae, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, Georgia. She was born on Thursday, September 6, 1934, in Alamo, Georgia.


Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Peebles and her parents, Clayton Brantley and Carrie Lee Brantley.


She retired from the Department of Family & Children Services, where she was a dedicated case worker. She devoted her career to aiding families and children in need. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.


She is survived by her children - Tim Peebles of Troutman, North Carolina, and Pam (Mike) Lariscy of Brunswick; her cherished grandchildren - Kellen Lariscy, Karmin (Drew) Miller, Kandace McHargue, and Emily Peebles; and her adored great-grandchildren, Easton McHargue, Brantley Miller, and Sidney Miller.


The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 2:00 P.M to 3:45 P.M. at Lowes Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 4:00 P.M. at Telfair Memorial Gardens. Lay Minister Norwood Davidson will officiate.
