Doris E. Ranker

91, died June 25, 2024.

Doris was born and raised in Clifton and formerly of Dumont for many years before moving to Bridgewater in 2022. She was employed as a teacher’s aide for mental and physically handicapped children for Bergen County Board of Education for 25 years, retiring in 2013. Doris loved all children, especially those with special needs. She also adored animals, with a soft spot for dogs. Doris enjoyed helping those in need, both people and dogs. She was also an avid New York Mets and New York Giants fan. She will be sadly missed by all.

She is predeceased by her husband Richard Ranker who died in 2012.

Surviving are her children Debbie Suhr and her husband Eric, Kim Ranker, and Keith Ranker, his wife Ellen, and their daughter Kristin, her brother Paul Fendelander, and sister Alida Lee.

Services will be private. Arrangements by Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, Somerville.
