Robert Wayne Deakle, age 85, passed away on March 31, 2024, in Grand Bay, AL. He was born on November 24, 1938, to Robert and Murley Deakle.

In life, Robert was a devoted husband and father.

Robert was a retired netmaker who everyone knew fondly as Bozy. Shrimpers would often tell you he was one of the best netmakers around. He took pride in his work and trade. When he wasn't working, you could find him riding around town and drinking coffee at Palmers’. He loved reading The Shopper and often brought home pets for his children and grandchildren or a cocker spaniel for himself.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Carol, and daughters Darla and Lesia.

Robert is survived by his loving daughters Charlotte (Tracy) and Lillie and his son-in-law Matt McCafferty, who were the pride and joy of his life. His grandchildren, Leila (Byron), Jimmy (Ashton), Matthew, Holly, Conner, Lorna, and Heidi brought him immense happiness. He also leaves behind five great-grandchildren, a testament to the love and legacy he leaves behind.

Arrangements: Visitation will be held at Lighthouse of Hope Holiness Church 11501 Argyle Rd. April 3, 2024 11 AM. Services to immediately follow starting at 12:00 PM.
