James Sterlyn Germany was born on October 17, 1937, in Mobile, Alabama. He stepped into eternity on June 17, 2024, at 7 o’clock in the morning at his home in Mobile. He began working in Mobile at the Mobile Area Water and Sewer System in 1956. After several years there, he began building homes through 2006. During this time, he was also employed by the Mobile Housing Board from September 1992 through August 2005.

He is survived in marriage by his wife of 63 years, Patricia (Pat) Foster Germany of Mobile, one son, Kenneth Sterlyn Germany, daughter-in-law, Angel of Mobile, three grandchildren, Kenneth Sterlyn Germany Jr., Charles Patrick Germany, and Ruth Carre’ Germany, all of Mobile, Alabama, as well as nieces, nephews, in-laws and many other family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was also a friend to his friends who loved him completely. He was also very involved in his church of over 35 plus years and served as a trustee for 25 plus years.

A funeral service will be held on June 21, 2024, at 12pm at Foster Grove Holiness Church with visitation beginning at 11am. (8952 Tanner Williams Rd, Mobile, AL 36608)
