Andrew D. Leonhardt passed away on June 20th, at 55, surrounded by family & friends in CaroMount Regional Medical Center. Born in Gastonia, he was a son of the late Donald and Shirley Goss Leonhardt.

Andrew graduated from Ashbrook High School. In his youth, Andrew found his love for automobiles and motorcycles, using racing and driving as an outlet. Post-graduation, Andrew moved to the coast, attending The University of North Carolina Wilmington - finding lifelong friendships and passion for the fraternity Lambda Chi, of which he became the chapter president during his time at the university. Andrew's love for the beach was only surpassed by his love and dedication toward his two surviving children.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Michelle Hendley Leonhardt; his children, Holland Leonhardt and Ben Leonhardt; sister, Renee Leonhardt.

Services will be held privately for his family.
