Patricia H. Marliere, nee McLaughlin, formerly of Woodridge, IL, and recently a 26-year resident of Germantown Hills, IL, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at Carle Health-Methodist Hospital in Peoria, IL.

Patricia, 68, was born on October 12, 1955, in Malden, MA and moved with her family to the suburbs of Chicago in 1959. She graduated from Lyons Township High School in 1974. Patricia met her husband, Ray, at a roller skating rink in Elmhurt, IL, and they were married shortly after on December 20, 1983 in Wheaton, IL.

She was a dispatcher at LaGrange, IL police force for several years. Later when they moved to Germantown Hills, she worked for many years at Peoria Wilbert Vault Co. in Metamora. She also enjoyed working at Snag Creek Golf Course.

Her family and friends remember her as an avid reader, an award winning cross stitch designer, always ready for a golf game, and a die-hard fan of the Peoria Chiefs baseball team where she was a member of the Booster Club for the team and served several years as its president.

Pat is survived by her loving husband, Raymond; her sister, Dorothy (Charles) Wilson; her brothers, William McLaughlin and Richard (Carol) McLaughlin; her children, Laura Barshaw and Michael Marliere; as well as her grandchildren Leah and Eric Stelling; her sister-in-law, Janean McLaughlin; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy (Prouty) McLaughlin and her brother, Michael McLaughlin.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with visitation to be held one hour prior. Burial of Ashes will be in DePue City Cemetery in DePue, IL at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
