Brian David Speers, 39, of Hot Springs, passed away August 7, 2018. He was born November 24, 1978 in Hot Springs, to Dave and Tami (Bates) Speers. Brian worked hard in the logging industry and loved to hunt. Above all, he was a proud dad who made his son the center of his universe. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Louie and Hazel Speers. Loving survivors include his parents; son Jon Wesley Speers; sister Laci Kelley (Ryan); nephews Kole and Dru Kelley; grandparents Haskel and Verna Bates; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. A celebration of life will take place at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Roger Harper officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Pitts, Clay Speers, Steve Meredith, Ty Threadgill, John Bridges, and Shane Feemster. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Jester, Bo Jester, Ryan Kelley, Dennis Wilson, Josh Walker, Jeremy Bates, Chance Speers, Troy Speers, T.J. Noles, Ryan and Kimi McKim, the City of Hot Springs Street Department, Bo Jester Logging Crews, No-Way Pulpwood, and the Old Brushy Hunting Club.
