Quintus Bernard Fielder
Quintus Bernard Fielder, age 93, passed from this life Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at ECM Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born in Dickson County, Tennessee, on June 27, 1925, to Albert and Grace Fielder. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1946, and worked for TVA for thirty years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a Christian gentleman who loved the Lord and served Him all his life. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo George Fielder and his son, Bernie Fielder. He is survived by four children, Jo Anne Bridges and husband Darwin of Florence; Linda Malone and husband Glenn of Nashville, Tennessee; Wanda Baker and husband Jerry of Athens, Alabama; daughter-in-law, Lori Fielder of Athens, Alabama and Cindy Deweese and husband Jimmy of Collierville, Tennessee; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm, Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Rogersville Funeral Home, with a memorial service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Parkinson’s Foundation. The family thanks Dr. Felix Morris, Dr. Robert Flowers, Dr. Robert Webb and the ECM Palliative Care nurses and staff. Mr. Fielder was a man who walked with God ,day in and day out. Spoke softly ,knew the Bible and a good family man. He will be greatly missed at West Rogersville Church of Christ. Prayers for the family
