Ella Mae Jordan Copeland, age 95, passed away on Friday evening, March 1, 2024. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Belk Funeral Home in LAMAR on Monday, March 4 at 2:00pm. Burial will follow in Fair Hope Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 at the chapel in Lamar.
Born in Florence on September 2, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Reuben and Fannie Dunn Jordan. Mrs. Copeland spent most of her life being a devoted housewife and helping her late husband, R.T. Copeland on the farm. She was an excellent caregiver and loved her home and working in her yards.
She is survived by her son, Barry Copeland, grandchildren, Emmy and Shelby, and a sister, Mary Ann Jordan Barnes.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Hope Windham Copeland, and siblings, R.J Jordan, Melton Jordan, Lerena J. Grove and Marie J. Andrews.
