David Earl Huber, 77, of Vanessa, ON, passed away peacefully on Friday June 21, 2024. David was born August 26, 1946, to the late Ira and Hannah (Heatwole) Huber. On September 15, 1967, he married Susie (Kuepfer) Huber.

In addition to his dear wife, he is survived by his children; Fern (Ward) Showalter, Leetonia, OH; Charles (Darlene) Huber, Harley, ON; Merlyn (Kathrine) Huber, New Dayton, AB; Brenda(Michael) Gerber, New Hamburg, ON; Carolyn (Marvin) Burkholder, Lyons, NY; Gerald (Muriel) Huber, Brooks, AB; Suzanne Huber, Calgary, AB, 27 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Four brothers, Samuel (Rhoda) Huber KY; Roy (Anna Mary) Huber, TX; Irvin (Freida) Huber, ON; Nathan (Violet) Huber, KY; five sisters, Margaret (late Jacob) Kuepfer, MO; Mildred (late David) Showalter, WI; Clara (late Wilmer) Halteman, NY; Rhoda (Melvin) Beachy, OH; Dorothy (Jerry) Beachy, IA; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Huber, TN and Doris Huber, KY.

He was predeceased by his parents, a granddaughter Alleyna Huber, two brothers, John Mark and Simon.

David surrendered his life to Christ in his youth. In 1969 he was ordained to the ministry. Through the years he never lost his zeal to share God’s Love, Compassion and Forgiveness with his fellow men.

His outgoing, positive attitude and genuine interest in people will be remembered by those whom his life touched.

Thank you to all the medical personnel who ensured David’s comfort through the end of his life. Dr. Martin-Godelie, the PSW’s from Bayshore and the nurses from Care Partners. A Special thank you to daughter Suzanne for her compassionate care.

Relatives and friends will be received on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Faith Mennonite Church, 1533 Chalmers Forrest Rd, Wellesley, from 1 – 3 p.m. and 5 – 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the church on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Bethel Conservative Mennonite Church Cemetery, Millbank with a time of fellowship to take place at Faith Mennonite Church. A livestream link will be available for those unable to attend.
