David W. Robinson

WAYNE ~ David W. Robinson, 67, of Wayne, died peacefully, Thursday November 12, 2015 at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn. He was born in Dixfield, February 13, 1948 the son of Herman and Doris (Strout) Robinson. David graduated from Dixfield High School in 1966 and went on to graduate from the Building Trades program at Central Maine Vocational Technical Institute in 1968. He worked as a carpenter, building homes for over forty years. He and his wife, Lillian (Jones) Robinson were married June 1, 2002. David enjoyed fishing, gardening, camp in Jackman, making clocks and other wood projects and building rock walls. He was a true craftsman. Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife, Lillian; his children, Jerry Robinson, Lucille Riley, Warren Robinson, Candice Law and her husband, Arron; stepchildren, Deborah Dickinson and Frederick Dickinson and his wife, Carol; his sisters, Juanita (Teta) Sprague and her husband, Chuck and Verna Pendexter; sister-in-law, Elaine Hackett and her companion, Roy Julian; grandchildren, Asa Nicholas, Parker Law, and Camden Law; step-grandchildren, Jason and Brittany Gaudette, Drew, Ryan, and Bria Dickinson; step great-grandchildren, Skylar and Brayden Gaudette; several nieces and nephews and his best friend and companion, “Zoe” A memorial service will be held at Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin Street in Winthrop on Wednesday November 18, 2015 at 12:00 pm. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gardiner Hospice, 150 Dresden Ave. Gardiner, ME 04345 or Androscoggin Hospice House, 236 Stetson Rd. Sorry for your loss Juanita, we were much older than David but I remember you all well. ie: melting chocolate on your kerosene heater up in the hall way. Such simple times. Sheila Martin Stohl

My sister, Rosalie Spaulding, and I extend to David's family our sincere condolences. David and Rosalie were both in the Class of 1966 at DRHS. I was a year behind and we both remember him well.
