Sally Lou Atkins Ropp, 78, of Robertson Drive, Youngsville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, Saturday, June 15, 2024. Born October 13, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Marian Mickelson Hollabaugh. Sally was a graduate of the class of 1963 of Youngsville High School. She was an accomplished Floral Designer, designing arrangements for most of her life. She was privileged to have designed floats for the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, California on several occasions. She also was proud over the years to be asked to design floral arrangements in many celebrity's homes for parties at Chautauqua Institution. Sally enjoyed working in her flower gardens where her favorite flowers were tulips. She also enjoyed doing Pebble Art, painting, baking, and a good homemade meal; but her greatest joy was her love for her granddaughters. She married Donald Richard Ropp Oct. 27, 1967 who preceded her in death March 6, 2018. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Cannilla; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, George R. and Isabella Ropp. Surviving are a daughter, Jodi (Kevin) Breeding of Youngsville; 5 grandchildren, Kennedy, Karissa and Madeline Cratty and Jonathan and Zachary Breeding; 2 brothers, Jack (Lori) Hollabaugh of Bear Lake, Archie Hollabaugh, Jr. and his fiancée, Kelly Vantassel of Youngsville; and a sister, Cindy (Bruce) Wright of Pittsfield. Services will be held at the convenience of the family at McKinney Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 54 W. Main St., Youngsville, PA. The family suggests memorials may be made in Sally’s honor by purchasing a gardening/flower book at a library of your choice. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.mckinneyfuneral.com
