Mr. Stephen Ledford Farley, affectionately known as Mr. Steve, of Fairmont was born on December 4, 1949 in Transylvania County to the late Gaius Haston Farley and Doris Elizabeth Farley of Brevard and departed this life on June 19, 2024 completing his journey of 74 years.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister: Susan Farley.

Mr. Farley is survived by his wife of 29 years: Barbara Hammonds Farley of the home; three daughters: Shannon of South Carolina, Anna Lisa Baum of Fairmont, and Crystal Oxendine of Sanford; three sons: Chris of South Carolina, Ronald Hammonds of Rowland, and Joshua Oxendine of Lumberton; one brother: Mike Farley of Brevard; his grandchildren: Shian, Zackery, Breana, Hunter, Sarah, Caleb, Jasmine, Greyson, and Arie; a host of great-grandchildren; a very loving and supportive niece: Jessica Waters of Tennessee; a dearly beloved caregiver: Keisha Hunt of Fairmont; a special foster-niece: Destiny Mitchell of Fairmont as well as a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Boles Funeral Home in Rowland.

The funeral will be on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 3 P.M. at Fairpoint Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
