Robert Wayne “Mickey” Williams, 82, of Catlettsburg, KY, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, KY. Robert was born on September 1, 1941, in Huntington, WV, to the late Orlas and Reva (Ferguson) Williams. Robert was preceded in death by his first wife Avis Susan (Rucker) Williams; one son James Robert Williams; daughter-in-law Renata Williams; and granddaughter Jessica Depontis. Robert is survived by his wife Shirley (Claxon) Williams; son Patrick (Frances) Williams of Chesapeake, OH; two daughters Brenda (Gary) Spurlock of Worthington, KY, and Pamela (Michael) Keen of Jacksonville, FL; one sister Billie Rice of Huntington, WV; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren. Robert was a faithful member of Flatwood First Baptist Church and a member of North Eastern Kentucky Fish and Game Association where he enjoyed target shooting with many of his close friends. Funeral Service will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, June 24, 2024, at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home, Chesapeake, OH, with Pastor Jim Nichols and Dave Daniels officiating. Burial will follow the service in Centenary Cemetery, Chesapeake, OH. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
