Emmanuel Hatcher Obituary

It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Emmanuel Hatcher of Marystown announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin, surrounded by his loving family on June 18, 2024 at the age of 67.

Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife, Melinda of 44 years; daughters, Trina Byrde (Jim Manning) of Burin, Krista Hatcher of Marystown, Sheranda Hatcher (John Turner) of Marystown; 6 grandchildren, Keshia (Gardner), Ocean (Cody), Micoya (Andrew), Landin, Dakota and Joshua; sisters, Tracey Dinn (Kevin) of Grand Falls and Margaret Loveless (Robert) plus a large circle of extended family and friends.

Emmanuel was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Blanche Hatcher; sister Beverley Snook

Manuel was a lover of all things cars and automotive. He enjoyed spending time in his shed with his best buddy Landin, watching TV with his girl Krista and watching the Montreal Canadians play hockey. He loved to drive around, lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it. When his grandchildren or a buddy needed a ride or help with a task, he was there to provide it without question. He also loved having a yarn with anyone who would stop and chat with him, unless they were a Toronto Maple Leafs fan of course.

He was the best husband, dad, grandfather and friend anyone could have asked for. Emmanuel cared so deeply for his family, especially his grandchildren with whom he was so very proud of and always made sure they knew it. He will be missed immensely and immeasurably and will be loved forever and for always.

A special thanks to the nurses at the BPHCC, Blue Crest Nursing Home, as well a Grand Bank ER for taking such good care of pop during this time.

In honoring Emmanuel's wishes, cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Emmanuel's memory may be made to the Hatcher family.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Wiseman’s Funeral Homes – Marystown.
