Mr. Adam Jones was born May 21, 1966 in Lincolnton, Georgia. He attended Lincolnton County High School and graduated in 1985. After high school, Adam enlisted in the US Navy and served for 14 years. He was an employee of JBS Pilgrim in Elberton, Georgia, where he was a dedicated worker in the maintenance department for 20 years.

Adam was a devoted husband and father to his family. His girls meant the world to him and they were his heart. He was a jack of all trades and was the guy to get the job done.  He went to his eternal home on June 14, 2024 at Anmed Hospital in Anderson, SC.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Phyllis Postell Jones of the home; three daughters, Adalee Jones Petrillo (Timonthy Petrillo) of Buffalo, NY, Leasia Jones of Raleigh, NC, and Marnissia Postell of Greenwood, SC; a special goddaughter, Jasmine Gunn of Calhoun Falls, SC; one stepson, Courtland Mursier of Calhoun Falls, SC; two grandchildren, Theodore Adam Petrillo and Viviana Michelle Petrillo of Buffalo, NY; a brother, Jesse Jones of Lincolnton, GA; a sister, Betty Jones Williams of the home; father-in-law, Samuel J. Hester of Buffalo, NY; three sisters-in-law, Angela Spencer (Daryl) of Buffalo, NY, Karen Postell Baskin of Calhoun Falls, SC, and Gloria Jones of Lincolnton, GA; four brothers-in-law, Leon Hester of Buffalo, NY, Adrian Hester of Buffalo, NY, Terry Postell of Calhoun Falls, SC and Calvin Postell of Greenwood, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Adam was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. JD Sr. and Mrs. Emma Jones; three brothers, JD Jones Jr., Willie C. Jones, and Eddie Lee Jones.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Glovers A.M.E. Church in Calhoun Falls, SC.  The interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Abbeville, SC.  Public viewing Friday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home - Calhoun Falls.
