Alfred T. "Tom" Kiefer Obituary

Alfred T. “Tom” Kiefer, Jr., 79, of Kennerdell, passed away peacefully, Thursday, June 13, 2024, at home.


Born November 3, 1944, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Alfred and Mildred Keffer Kiefer.


Tom retired from the US Army Reserves, having served for 28 years.


Mr. Kiefer was a member of the American Legion in St. Petersburg, and the Izaak Walton League in Oil City.


He enjoyed doing gunsmith work and loved going to gun shows where he developed many great friendships over the years.


He had been married to the former Suzanne Wilson, the mother of his two surviving children, Christine Lauritzen and her husband Jack of Pittsburgh, and Tom Kiefer and his wife Amy of Venus. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Kelsey and Dylan Lauritzen and Elizabeth and Zachary Kiefer.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Joseph Kiefer.


Funeral services are private.
