Age 79 of Owosso passed away Friday, June 14, 2024 at his home.


A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Don Wentz officiating. Burial will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11am to 1pm .


Bruce was born May 4, 1945 in Owosso, the son of Orin and Leora (Demerly) Reed.


He graduated from Owosso High School and proudly served in The United States Navy.


Bruce was a typical farmer boy growing up, he was a hard working man who took pride in fixing tractors and other equipment with his bare hands. Bruce was a past member of The American Legion in Owosso, Heart of Michigan Antique Club, and loved his Oliver tractors.


He married his sweetheart Dianna (Stanton) Drexler in Owosso on July 4, 2019 .


Bruce worked at various companies as a master mechanic.


Bruce is survived by his Wife, Dianna Reed; Children, Stacey Reed, Melissa Reed, Daniel Reed, James Poor Jr., Teresa Bisalski, Karla (Jason) Scott, and Gary (Karen) Drexler; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; along with several nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.


He was predeceased by his parents, Orin and Leora Reed.
