Iannaccone, Flavia, (nee Lombardi) a Village of Hempstead resident, on June 11, 2024. Devoted wife of the late Anthony. Beloved Mother of Frances and the late Toni. Dear sister of the late Peter Lombardi. Flo, as she was known by her friends, was a former Trustee for the Village of Hempstead from 1983-1989. She also served as secretary to the Town of Hempstead Town Board. Ever the trailblazer, she was the first female president of the Hempstead Republican Club. She served as a member of the Hempstead Board of Zoning and Appeals, Village of Hempstead Human Relations Council, Director of the Hempstead Historical Society, Committee Person for the 23rd E.D., Sub Registrar of Vital Statistics for the Village as well as Village Trustee and Deputy Mayor. Her Faith was of paramount importance to her as evidenced by her active membership in Our Lady of Loretto RC Church as the first Female Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Rosary Altar Society, the Stewardship Committee and the recipient of the St. Agnes Medal in 1976. The family will receive friends Tuesday June 18, 2024 from 7-9 PM and Wednesday June 19, 2024 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Cecere Family Funeral Home 2283 Grand Ave. Baldwin NY 11510.
