Cheryl Marie Rosales

CHERYL MARIE (LEICHNER) ROSALES June 16, 1950 ~ January 14, 2017 Cheryl Marie Rosales, 66, of Vancouver, Washington, passed away on January 14, 2017. Cheryl was born in Vancouver on June 16, 1950. When she was ten, she moved to Boulder, Colorado where she graduated from Boulder High School in 1968. She attended the University of Colorado, Boulder and married the love of her life, Lee on September 18, 1970. With her family and children, Cheryl returned to Vancouver in 1977. Cheryl's passions included her love for dogs and her children's activities. She frequently attended dog shows throughout the Pacific Northwest and was active in the Washington State Cocker Spaniel Club and the Fort Vancouver Cocker Spaniel Fanciers. Cheryl enjoyed doll collecting, sewing, and watching music and dance-related shows including American Idol and the Voice. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Lee Rosales of 46 years; daughter, Jennifer Rosales; son, Ryan Rosales; brother, Mark Leichner; brother, Craig Leichner (Gina); many nieces and nephews; and her two beloved dogs, Simone and Savannah. She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Leichner in 1988; her mother, Margaret Leichner in 2007; and her sister, Tari Leichner in 2010. A Celebration of Life will be held January 22, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 1101 NE 112th Avenue, Vancouver, with a reception to follow.
