Jamar Vashad Horne, known affectionately as Chewy and Bub, passed away on June 10, 2024, in DeLand, FL, his beloved hometown. Born on January 27, 1980, in DeLand, Jamar was the cherished son of Darlene Stacy and Erskine Horne.

Jamar's educational path led him from DeLand High School to Florida Technical College. His professional life was marked by his dedicatio nas a Cook and HVAC Technician. But beyond his work, Jamar’s true passion lay in helping others and spreading joy through his culinary creations. He had an incredible gift for turning simple ingredients into exquisite dishes, and his smile could light up even the darkest room.

Predeceased by his grandparents, Mae and Willie Stacy, and Johnnie Mae Horne, Uncles: Hollis Baugh, Willie Stacy Jr., Stanley Horne, Charles Harden, Grady Jackson and Aunt Brenda Orelin. Jamar is now reunited with them in peace.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Jeremiah and Lailah (Cindy) Las Vegas. Nevada, his sister Zaundra Horne (Darryl) DeLand, FL, Aunts Ollie Mae & Linda Stacy, DeLand.
