Patricia Hartney, 77, of Clinton, Iowa passed away at the University of Iowa Hospitals on Saturday, June 8, 2024. Honoring her wishes cremation rites have been accorded with a celebration of her life taking place from 1 pm to 3 pm on Saturday, June 15 at Lemke Funeral Homes – South Chapel. Lemke Funeral Homes is honored to serve the Hartney and Labadie family during this difficult time.


Patricia was born February 19, 1947 in Delray, Michigan, the daughter of Richard and Leora (Lanctot) Labadie. Following high school she graduated from college with a nursing degree, retiring as a nurse after 30+ years.


Patricia was united in marriage to Michael Hartney on October 5, 2015 in Clinton, Iowa.


Patricia was an avid Elvis Presley fan and loved watching her husband Mike perform during his Elvis “The King” tribute shows. She also enjoyed simply sitting outside and being

engaged in nature, both in her yard in Clinton and in Traverse City, Michigan. She took every opportunity to travel she was always up for an adventure and visiting with friends an family.


Patricia is survived by her husband Mike of Clinton, daughter - Lee Anne Luzac of Traverse City, MI Her grand-daughters Lyndsay Gray (Matt), Kaysha Ramirez (Bryan) four great grandchildren Elijah, Malaya, Ranezmae Ramirez and Sloan Gray. Her sisters Jean Kelley (Mike), Barbara Frey (Wayne) Mary Lee Parks (Chuck), and her only brother Tom Labadie (Gail). She is also dearly loved and will be missed by all of her nieces, nephews and grandchildren including those from the Luzac, McCoy and Hartney families.


Above all, she loved her family very much especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Preceded in death her parents, one son David Jr. and by dear sisters Marian Mimi Raffone (Rick) and Carole Solliday (Richard) And her 2nd husband John Jay McCoy of 20+ years .
