Dad, It broke our hearts to lose you, But you didn't go alone. A part of us went with you, the day God called you home. A million times we will need you, a million times we will cry. If our love could have saved you, you never would have died. You wished noone a last farewell, you didn't say goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, And only God knows why. A golden heart stopped beating, and you were then at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best. We think of you in silence and make no outward show. For what it meant to lose you, No one will ever know.
