Charles Edgar Tucker Obituary

June 7, 2024, Charles “Chuck” Edgar Tucker, 86, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife, Edith Marie Tucker, at his side.


Born March 6th, 1938 to Eugene and Jessie Tucker, Chuck and his sister Marilyn grew up in Pittsfield, Illinois. He joined the air force at the young age of 17, where he became a jet engine mechanic. He served during the Vietnam War and became a Tech Sergant/E6.


After serving 20 years, Chuck retired from the air force and went to work for Montgomery Wards fixing air conditioners. He worked his way up, becoming a manager over his department.


In 1960, Chuck married Edie. They had three children, Timothy (Tammy), Christina (Paul), and Anthony (Diana). He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Chuck and Edie were married for 64 glorious years. They enjoyed traveling together throughout the United States, Europe, and the Mediterranean. Chuck enjoyed time with his kids and grandkids by volunteering as a baseball coach and boy scout leader.


Memorial services will be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery and Funeral Home (1562 E. Baseline Rd, Mesa, AZ 85204) on Wednesday, June 19th. The visitation is from 11:30am - 12:00pm. The funeral service will be held from 12:00 - 12:45 pm, immediately followed by burial.
