Edward Steck Hosack, Jr. Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward S. Hosack Jr. who left us on May 11, 2024. Born on April 18, 1942 Edward Jr. was the only child of Edward and Lenoir Hosack Sr. After college, he spent many years as a Probation Officer in California. In 1977 he accepted a job as Chief Probation Officer in Yakima and moved him and his son to their new home. After serving as Chief Probation officer for 22 years he decided to take an early retirement. Edward Jr. met the love of his life (later in life), Kathryn, and they were married for 34 years. Edward Jr. and Kathryn had many adventures in life; traveling to different parts of the world, camping, and even driving across the country and back home in a motorhome called the "rolling turd." He also had a passion for playing music and building the most complex balsa wood ships that were a piece of art when finished. Edward Jr. also enjoyed his three food groups, as he called them; nicotine, caffeine and grease. He was a firm believer in these food groups and touted them as his way of living the good life. He is survived by his wife Kathryn Hosack and his only child, Edward S. Hosack III and many friends. Edward Jr. will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
