MACON – Harriet Dell McClellan Sims, 73, of Hwy 18, passed away June 10, 2024 in Macon.


Services will be held Thursday June 13, 2024 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Harold Reece, Jr. will officiate.


Mrs. Sims was born in Macon, GA the daughter of the late Henry McClellan and Mary Lee Peterson McClellan. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert “Bob” McClellan and Tommy McClellan, and by her sisters Kathy Brake and Linda Brown. Harriet was a former Retail Salesperson and was a homemaker.


Survivors include her husband, William Lee Sims. Her sister Bonnie McClellan and her brother William “Skeet” McClellan. Her Niece Karlee Rodgers


The family will receive friends from 1:00PM to 2:00PM before services in the funeral home.


Donations may be made to the Jones County Animal Shelter.
