Wardette Collins Harrison Obituary

Wardette Collins Harrison, age 79, of Crockett passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024 at the Houston Methodist West Hospital. Wardette was born July 29, 1944 in Crockett to parents, Montgomery Ward Collins and Reba Mae Green Collins.

She was a graduate from Kennard High School as Valedictorian. Wardette worked many years in the Houston County District Clerk office as Assistant District Clerk. She loved her son and grandsons with all her heart and will be missed.


Wardette is survived by husband, Freddie Harrison of Crockett; son, David Loden Ainsworth of Katy; grandsons, Griffin Ainsworth of Bryan/College Station, Cullen Ainsworth of Dallas; step-son, Rusty Harrison and wife, Teresa of Tomball; numerous other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by parents, Ward and Reba Collins; daughter-in-law, Tammy Ainsworth; grandson, Carter Ainsworth; brothers, Joe Collins, Richard Collins.


Funeral services for Wardette Collins Harrison will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2024 at the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Interment will following the Conner Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at 12:00 p.m. prior to the services.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA.
