Ramon Glenn Bess Obituary

Brooksville-Glenn Bess, 71, died Tuesday June 11, 2024. He was born in Maysville, KY on September 23, 1952 to the late Ramon W. “Jiggs” and Edith June Hinson Bess.


He attended Powersville Christian Church, was a United States Army Reserve Veteran, a long-time employee at Finch Oil Company, and former owner of Georgia Carpet Liquidators. Glenn was a faithful Christian, a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.


He is survived by his wife, Vicki Workman Bess whom he married March 12, 1972; their sons, Eric (Jennifer) Bess of Staunton, VA and Tyler (Kirby) Bess of Union, KY; and three granddaughters, Adrienne Sandlin, Kreegar Bess and Briar Bess.


He is also survived by his sisters, Shirley (Steve) Pickrell of Maysville, KY, Peggy Kratz of Chicago, IL, Tracy (Jamie) Rigg of Germantown, KY, and his brothers Tim (Evelyn) Bess of Maysville, KY and Troy (Sheila) Bess of Paris, KY.


A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Moore and Parker Funeral Home in Brooksville, KY. Visitation will be 10:00am-1:00pm at the funeral home.


Memorials are suggested to Powersville Christian Church or charity of choice.
