Christine Mary Stabile Obituary

Christine Mary Stabile, age 51, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2024.

She was born on February 28, 1973 to the late Donald and Lorraine Stabile. Christine graduated from Naugatuck High School in 1994, where she was proud to be a cheerleader for the Special Olympics.

Christine had many passions until dementia overtook her; writing novels, watching movies, exploring architecture, listening to music, going out to lunch, and donating to the casinos are just a few, but family truly meant everything to her. She relished the chaos of Cape Cod vacations with everyone, and Monday was her favorite weekday as for over 25 years we’d gather for dinner.

The youngest of 6 children born to Don and Lorraine, she had a special relationship with each of her siblings individually and as a family. Christine was loved beyond measure. She had the ability to make everyone feel deeply loved and her hugs wrapped you in an inexplicable warmth.

After the deaths of her parents, her sparkling personality carried on, handling grief better than most. As her illness progressed, her siblings were committed to providing whatever it took to keep her home. She had a team of angels to support her needs and the family is forever grateful to her amazing caregivers.

Christine is survived by her siblings~Ken Stabile (Kathy), Gary Stabile, Lisa Krusko (Jeff), Robert Stabile, and Michele McCarthy (Raymond).

Her loving nieces and nephews are Katie Bike, Kassidy Stabile, Leisa Hicks, Ashlee Stabile, Lauren Stabile, Torrey Querin, Zakrey Krusko, Casey McCarthy and Rowan McCarthy. She also leaves behind her great nieces and nephews, Skylar and Addison, Kaylee and Gavin, Aria, Rylee and Andrew (AJ), Nolan and one more in the fall. She loved her cousins from Long Island, godparents Ana and Joe Cortellino and many special friends from Connecticut and on the Cape.

Christine was predeceased by her loving parents, and her great niece Paige Jordan Batten.

Visitation will be held on Thursday June 13, 2024 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck, followed by a service at 11:30 a.m.  Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to her niece’s scholarship fund at pjbmemorialscholarship.com or jerichobeca.org.  To send an on-line condolence or share a memory, please visit www.naugatuckvalleymemorial.com
