Gary Daniel Lindsey, born on January 21, 1941, in Winthrop, Massachusetts, passed away on June 10, 2024, in Peachtree City, Georgia. He was 83 years old.


With a distinguished career as a police officer in Boston spanning 39 years, Gary was known for his dedication to upholding the law and serving his community with honor and integrity. Beyond his professional life, Gary had a variety of interests that brought him joy. From target shooting to spending quality time with his beloved grandkids, Gary was a true family man at heart. He also had a passion for sports and took pride in his role as a crossing guard. He was a man of unwavering strength and courage, serving proudly as a member of the United States Marine Corps. His dedication to duty and honor inspired all who had the privilege of knowing him.


In his leisure time, Gary could often be found enjoying the simple pleasures of life, whether it was cheering on his favorite team or sharing stories with loved ones. His infectious wit and warm personality made him a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew him.


Gary is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mary Dugan Lindsey, brothers Robert and Stanley Lindsey, and sister Lois Lindsey. He is survived by his loving wife Dot Lindsey, daughters Karen (Paul) Carter and Michelle (David) Fournier, grandchildren Amanda, Thomas, Stephen, Lindsey, and Jacqueline, nephews Gerald and Gary, as well as his faithful canine companions Casey and Daisy.


In Gary's memory, may we always remember his laughter, his kindness, and the enduring love he shared with those closest to him. Rest in peace, Gary.


A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 17, 2024, at First Baptist Church, Peachtree City. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City.
