John Paul Tomasek Jr., affectionately known as JP by family and friends, passed away on June 1, 2024, at the age 49, in Houston, Texas. JP was born on April 30, 1975, in Howell, Michigan.

JP was a proud graduate of Byron High School and continued his education at Michigan State University, where he was an active member of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Communication. He went on to build a successful career as an Operations Maintenance Technician at NAES in Houston, Texas. According to his employer, “JP was our top operator and was dedicated to making the plant better and simplifying processes to ensure the reliability of the sites”.

JP is survived by his loving fiancé, Olga Arriaga, and his cherished children: Kelsey, Dathan, and Madilynn. He is also survived by his devoted parents, John and Shirley Tomasek Sr., and his beloved sisters, Nicole (Tom) Zalucki and Amy (Scott) Cathcart. JP was a wonderful uncle to his nieces and nephews, Avery, Ella, Tyler and AJ. JP will be fondly remembered by his many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A man of many talents and interests, JP will be remembered for his dedication to his work, his fraternity, and most importantly, his family. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his children. His kind heart and generous spirit touched all who knew him.
