Bobby Joe Crowder was born on July 12th, 1952 to Clyde Crowder Jr. and Bonnie Faye Todd in Cason, Texas. Bobby attended Central Grove High School. Upon graduating he enlisted in the United States Navy. Bobby was a Boatswain’s Mate Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy, and retired after 24 years of service. Bobby received the Navy Achievement medal, Navy Commendation medal, Overseas Service ribbon, Good Conduct award, and the Navy “E” ribbon. He is survived by his children, Lyzonda Crowder Hall (Mark) from his union with Ruth Guidry Crowder. Colleen Crowder and Andrea Crowder Hopkins from his union with Claudette Crowder Fowler. His grandchildren: Alan & Logan Hall, Elijah & Johan Hopkins. His siblings: Robert Charles Miller, Cathy Hall (Ronald), Carolyn Bryson, Vickie Watson, Tonya Turner (Christopher Craddock), Joyce Vadan (Clayton), and Letha Aguilar. Devoted friends; Billy Wells, Billy D. Williams, Lou Williams. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Mary Hailey and Sandra Brooks Flemming Williams, his sister-in-law Tammie Miller, and his brother-in-law Cornelius Watson. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to his Aunt Carolyn Wilkerson, Uncles; Frank Crowder, Charles Rodgers, Billy Rodgers, and Tom Rodgers whom Bobby resided with. Tom cared for him during his health decline and was always by his side. Lastly, the medical staff at UT Health Pittsburgh for their support and care during Bobby’s final transition. Bobby was passionate about softball, billiards, card games, and The Dallas Cowboys. Those who knew Bobby will remember him for his competitive spirit and love for jazz music.
